Let’s Take a Trip

LETS TAKE A TRIP
Jim Crow Museum of Racist Imagery
Big Rapids, Michigan
February 16, 2024
The Jim Crow Museum of Racist Imagery is the nation’s largest publicly accessible collection of artifacts of intolerance. The Museum contextualizes the dreadful impact of Jim Crow laws and customs. The Museum uses objects of intolerance to teach tolerance and promote a more just society.
Big Rapids is approximately two hours from Charlotte. We should meet at the church and be ready to leave by 9:00. We will stop at Ruby Tuesday’s for lunch and proceed to the Museum. Ferris State has metered parking on campus so we will need to apply for parking passes. Bill will need to know how many are coming by Tuesday, February 13 in order to notify the restaurant, the museum and assign drivers.

Contact Bill Oatman directly or send a message to the Church Office Office@uccCharlotte.org, with a Subject head “For Bill Oatman, Museum Trip” with queries or to indicate you are going so appropriate arrangements can be made.
