As usual there is a lot going on so here goes…
Aug. 22 Community Dinner at the Eagles, thank you Chris R!
Aug. 25 Planting day at the Labyrinth–Many hands make light work.
Planting will begin about 9 a.m. A trowel and knee pad would be helpful tools.
There are about 400 sedum to plant.
Also if you have not stopped by to take a look at the labyrinth be sure to do so. The first part of the path was laid on Monday and the rest will be finished on Wednesday. If you visit after dark you will see the glow stones in action.
Aug. 26 This week’s sermon will be presented by Bob Miller.
Aug. 27 Crafting session for Bazaar–note the time change to 2 p.m.
Sept. 2 Movie Night- at 6:30
Sept. 8 RIBBON CUTTING ceremony for the Commons at 4:00.
This will be followed by live music (Michigan Mafia String Band) and food. Pulled pork meal for $8, water for $1, cookies for $1.
Join us for this great celebration and bring your friends.
Also Matt purchased “comically large scissors” for the event.
As is always the case volunteer opportunities abound for this event. A sign-up sheet will be available this Sunday. Please remember to approach the credenza carefully so no one is hurt in the rush to sign up.
Sept. 16 We welcome interim pastor Curtiss DeMars-Johnson. We could use a few more folks to bake lemon meringue pies for the day. Please see Amy F.
Sept. 23 Bylaws final vote right after church.
