“We performed some of our favorite anthems from throughout the church year, including Christmas and Easter,” says Ramona Kime, Director of Music. “Our concert was a celebration of music and the beginning of summer!”
There are a variety of styles of music, from the spiritual “Battle of Jericho” to the beautiful “In Remembrance” and “The Meditations of My Heart”. “Lord, Can You Hear Us Praying?” hints of Gospel music and incorporates “Kum Ba Yah” throughout. The choir will also be performing several beautiful and very moving pieces from their Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter repertoire, including a fun, upbeat arrangement of “Go Tell It on the Mountain”.
