It began as The Mitten Tree. Outreach Board wished to keep the giving tree concept growing. For August and September we are collecting non-perishable food and personal care items to donate to Helping Hands for when they move into their new building. In March 2019 we assembled 70 shoeboxes of games, toys, small individual wrapped snacks for our “Shoebox Ministry”.  Shoe boxes are entertainment for children not lucky enough for a family vacation over spring break.  We will continue this in 2020 and now is a good time to look for items as school  supplies will be on sale as well as summer toys. White Bags and Brown Bag gifts of food and household products were collected during worship in November and December. 56 bags of food were collected from our congregation and even more of household products: toilet paper, paper towel, facial tissue, diapers, wipes, soaps, shampoos, personal care items If you were not able to bring your donation to worship, personal care and food donations are always accepted and appreciated.
