We have been exploring ways to provide church fellowship as well as increase income sources for our church budget from not only our congregation but friends and family too.
One of our trustee families, Ron and Sandra, lived in Washington DC where the Congregation formed a BIRTHDAY CLUB. Each month, those who are born that month form a “committee” that develops and promotes a fun event. This event would provide fellowship as well as profit that would be dedicated to general budget.
Events ideas include: trips to the Lugnuts Game; Olivet College Football game and tailgate!, events at the Wharton Center or Potter Center in Jackson and to our own CPAC!
Tagging on a full dinner or hospitality prior to the event would raise money. Also working with the venue to obtain a discount for the event would be the effort of the individual committee for that Birthday month.
A sign up sheet is available at coffee hour, or you can contact our church office or send an email thru this web page. Indicate your month of birth and then meet the other members interested in being part of your BIRTHDAY CLUB “committee”. It will require brainstorming, too, so bring some of your ideas.
They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
